-Continuous Observation Produces a Consciousness-

To hear the word of God and be not a doer, Scripture says, is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. The term like is synonymous with delight, appetite, matching, description, and manner. He that observes his reflection goes away and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. Still, he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it isn’t a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work will be blessed in what he does (James 1:22-25).

Behold Jesus Fulfilled the Law Requirement

The perfect law of liberty is to dwell in the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed the believer from sin and death (Romans 8:2-3). To dwell means to sit down and rest in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, fulfilling the righteous requirement of the law.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty

2 Corinthians 3:7

Behold the Believer is Under Grace

Jesus has achieved a place for the believer of grace. No longer does the law has a place of dominion over the child of God. For they are under grace (Romans 6:14). The more you look at the finished works of Jesus Christ at the cross and see that your position child of God is in Him, as Jesus is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17), being in Him is at the right hand of God (Ephesians 1:20).

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, that the man of God may be whole.

II Timothy 3:16-17

God’s Beloved Son, Study Him!

Imagine that at the right hand of God. You and I are there; God sees us sinless because of the blood of Jesus Christ. God’s position is clear on what we should look at, His Son in whom He is well pleased (Matthew 3:16-17). Again, on a high mountain, Father God said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am pleased. Hear Him!” Peter being zealous to acknowledge Jesus, Moses and Elijah, said, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if you wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah (Matthew 17:1-4).”

 Father God said, Hear Jesus!

In zealousness, Peter placed Jesus equal to Moses, the lawgiver, and Elijah, the prophet. But God answered from heaven and said give ear to Jesus, not the prophets and not the law. Observe what Jesus accomplished for us at the cross! Death no longer has dominion. For the death that He died, He died to sin once and for all (Romans 6:9-10).

 Be Jesus Conscious!

When you behold what Jesus did at the cross, knowing Father God sent Him so we beloved won’t perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). That fact should cause you to see yourself as precious in His sight. Jesus didn’t have to come; He chose to come to save you!

Don’t solve your issues of concern by worry; cast all your care on Jesus, for He cares for you.

2 Peter 5:7

Daily Take Possession of Your Gift of Righteousness

Remind yourself of your gift of righteousness that God has given through Jesus Christ! Declare by faith: for God made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for me, that I might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). When you behold you are righteous in Him, this position is more significant than any sin you fall victim to, remember Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6), not for you to stay that way, but that you may have life more abundantly.

Continuous observation of Jesus Christ’s finished works at the cross produces the fruit of righteousness in your life.

Beloved,

Set your gaze upon His glory, the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
