You Are The righteousness Of God In Christ
Every morning I verbally declare, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” Often before I open my eyes or get out of bed, it sets the tone of my first thoughts of the day. Before I read a devotion or scripture, I remind myself of my position in the heavenly family. My reading this morning was Romans. In Romans 1, Paul called an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God. God promised in the Holy Scriptures concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus Christ, a man, and God came to rescue all who would believe in Him from hell. Faith joins together the Jew and the Gentile. In Romans 3: 9-12, Paul said, what then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jew and Gentile, they are all under sin. There is no pride in position in Jesus Christ.
Paul says there is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way; they are together become unprofitable; none doeth good, no, not one. As I pondered Romans 3, I realized religious righteousness is a thing? When you remind yourself or someone else that they sinned. Either you believe Jesus died for all our sins or not, it cannot be both. Religious righteousness is performance-centered, which is law-based. Believing Jesus died for all your sins is God’s grace and for those who believe. It is accounted to them for righteousness (Romans 4:3), For He (God) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be made sin for us that we made become the righteousness of God in Him (Rom. 5:21). Righteousness is a gift God has given to the believer (Rom. 5:17). God’s blessings are irrevocable (Rom. 11:29). This position in God is permanent because of the blood of Jesus Christ. When you receive the abundance of grace (Jesus), you will reign in life through Him (Rom. 5:17). He is the gift! When I first heard Joseph Prince’s, broadcast he would start it with him saying, “God wants you to reign.” I soon started saying, “Amen.” Not understanding, I was receiving my father’s written word spoken by this man of God. I soon learned my position of righteousness is for me to reign in life through Jesus Christ my Lord. I’m not independent of Him, and I don’t need to be. To be Jesus conscious is recognizing I can do nothing apart from Him. He’s done all the work for you at the cross. So, every time you miss the mark, remind yourself of the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross. As Jesus is, so are you in this world (I John 4:17).
??Receive Jesus Christ the righteousness of God and reign in life??
