Who Did Jesus Ban?

Stand For What Jesus Stands For!

Should the Child of God ban retailers because they partner with a trans-gay company? Who did Jesus ban? Some years ago, a retailer deterred its employees from joining a union, and consequently, as a union member, my union told its members to ban that retailer. Does a position of banning people or company politics please God? He loved the world and gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

Christ died for the ungodly!

Romans 5:6

Did Jesus ban what was considered a social outcast?

No, He is accused of eating with tax collectors and sinners (Matthew 9:10). The accusation is made by the Pharisees, who Jesus said, “For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones (Matthew 23:27). Beautiful outside dead inside is man’s righteousness! So, are we serving our ideas of rightness when we ban the socially unacceptable?

Jesus said,

I have not come to abolish the law or the prophets but to fulfill them.

Matthew 5:17

The Child of God is Free from the Law!

The idea of banning is a type of law. Why would a child of God want or need to practice the law that Jesus Christ came to fulfill? For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son (Jesus) in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:2-3).

The question isn’t what Jesus would do. But what He came here to do?

To Save people from eternal damnation! Hell!

That should be our standing! Child of God.

Jesus, the Righteous Requirement of the Law

God sent Jesus; He is the fulfillment of the law, not our works, whether they are taking a stand against the sinful nature of men that we view in others while disregarding the plank in our own eyes (Matthew 7:4-5). When we understand there is only one Creator of heaven and earth, Father God, He will Judge and dispense proper retribution for self-serving or self-destructive behavior. For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God, James 1:20.

Jesus came for humankind,

He banned none,

He died for the sins of all!
