What Stories are You Telling?
Faith comes by hearing and hearing!
Romans 10:17
What stories are you retelling? Do these narratives give rise to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, or do they give attention to the devil’s antics? The initial question is, what stories are you telling? I heard these words while someone was talking to me: Stop telling stories that give rise to the negative, but it wasn’t me telling the story. It was someone else; I was the listener.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing!
Romans10:17
For every repeated story, be it positive or negative, it breathes life into those words. God made man by speaking and telling; he made him in His image. Understanding that fact changes or should affect how you talk. Your words are seeds that bring fruit. Remember, God said light be, and it was so, Genesis 1:3. Him whose likeness you were created spoke you into existence. Please don’t be deceived to make light of the words you speak!
Jesus said this about words!
By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.
Matthew 12:37
What Stories Are You Telling?
Is it in the beginning the Lord would come in the cool of the day to fellowship with His creation? Think about that: for a moment, Adam experienced the presence of the Lord daily, but he still acted with free will. Adam is where we inherited our sinful nature from, but Jesus came and changed everything, Romans 5:12.
Let’s Tell Stories About Our Lord!
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life, John 3:16. And that Son, Jesus, bore our sins at the cross in His own body, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by His stripes we, the believer is healed, 1 Peter 1:24. The righteousness we live for is Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 1:30. The righteousness we seek is Jesus Christ. Everything else will be added to us, Matthew 6:33.
Beloved,
Keep telling the story of Jesus Christ; it’s the story of wisdom, redemption, righteousness, and sanctification.
It is a story that glorifies the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross!
Glorify God by speaking about His Son
