Seek first the Reign of God!

Matthew 6:33 YLT

Jesus said, seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and all these things, whatever you need, shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33 KJV). For all that we consider a necessity, God says to pursue Him. He knows what we need; in the book of Matthew, verses 6:24-34, God gives the believer a blueprint, but seeking Him is the process to receive!

No One Can Serve Two Masters!

Matthew 6:24 KJV

Pursuing is prioritizing hearing the message, which is heard through the word about Christ (Romans 10:17 NIV). No matter what you think, God sent Jesus to tell us we can’t have two Lords; our most significant concerns become our director. It controls how we meet our needs, yet we call Jesus the Lord. But how does that work? Lord and Kingdom share a parallel reality. Jesus said, seek first the Kingdom of God, the influence of the Supreme is in His word, and His righteousness, which is Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30). Father God wants to oversupply your need by you seeing Him as the ultimate provider!

Everything you need will be added to you!

Matthew 6:33

Jesus comforts the believer with these words: Solomon, in all his glory, was not an array-like one of these referencing the lilies of the field. God loved Solomon (2 Samuel 12:24) and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel, saying he shall be a man of rest (1 Chronicles 22:6, 9). Reflecting on how God spoke to David about Solomon, I was captivated by God calling him a man of rest, saying he would build my house! The comparison of Solomon with the temporary, the flowers of the field, and how God loved him and called him a man of rest. Jesus mentioned Solomon and Don’t Worry 5 times in Matthew 6:24-34. There are no insignificant details in the bible.

Pray,

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that Father God raised You from the dead and that You are alive today at the right hand of God. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God, and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with peace and joy!

Amen
