Voice Of a King
All of creation, praise the Lord!
Psalm 148
As I was meditating on the voice of a king, I was led to Psalm 29 KJV, the voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth. Is this to say that every animal gives birth and procreates by His voice? This scripture wowed me! But I was taught that animals are instinctual creatures. Are they obeying their instructions from God, as illustrated in Genesis? God told His creation to be fruitful and multiply (Gen. 1:22). The deer are following the voice of her King! The might and majesty of the voice of the Lord. His voice divides the flames of fire.
The voice of the King separated the flame for His people!
Psalm 29:7
The Lord came on the scene for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. In the fiery furnace, the Lord protected them. He divided the flames of fire for His people. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to worship the golden image King Nebuchadnezzar set up and weren’t afraid to tell him, “O’ Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to answer you in this matter” (Daniel 3:16). Now that was some boldness and confidence in the Lord to tell the King, “We aren’t scared of you! My God shall deliver us from your hands (Dan. 3:17).
No fear in trusting the voice of the King!
Psalm 29:4
After casting them into the furnace, the King looked in the furnace. He said, “I see four in the stove, and the fourth is like the Son of God.” The boldness of these men serves as a testimony: He will never leave you (Heb. 13:5). And when they came out of the furnace, they had no smell of smoke on them (Dan. 3:27). Just as the Lord brought them out, He will do the same for you! With no scent of where they were!
These men who love God, He made everything work together for their good!
Romans 8:28
Again, in the Book of Daniel, God showed His power and might when He shut the mouths of the lions, saving Daniel. Others on King Darius’ staff became jealous of Daniel because he was a man of excellence; the King set him over a whole realm (Daniel 6). The governors, presidents, and satraps devised a plan to create a decree that no one should pray to anyone but the King for thirty days. King Darius liked the idea and made the decree law, but he soon discovered it wasn’t for him but to eliminate Daniel. The King was displeased with himself when it was brought to his attention by his staff that Daniel was praying to his Lord. The King knew Daniel, a nobleman, couldn’t let the decree keep him from praying and supplicating before his Lord. The King sought a way to save Daniel, but he could not!
The King doesn’t rule, but the King of Kings reigns!
Romans 5:17
So consequently, Daniel was cast into the lion’s den, But the Lord God shut the mouths of the lions. Is it that the lions in the den knew the voice of their King? They were hungry but didn’t eat Daniel (Dan. 6:24). In these situations, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abego-Nego stood for the Lord, and He rescued them. Psalm 29 closes with The Lord will give strength to His people and bless His people with peace.
