Voice of A King

As I was meditating on the voice of a king, which is the Lord Jesus Christ, that led me to Psalm 29:9 KJV, the voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth. Is this to say that every animal gives birth and procreate by His voice? This scripture wowed me! But I was taught that animals are instinctual creatures. Are they obeying their instructions from God as illustrated in Genesis? God told His creation to be fruit and multiple (Gen. 1:22). The deer are following the voice of her King! David in Psalm 29 speaks of the might and majesty of the voice of the Lord. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire (Psalm 29:7).

For Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, the Lord came on the scene for them. In the fiery furnace, the Lord protected them. He divided the flames of fire for His people. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to worship the golden image King Nebuchadnezzar set up and weren’t afraid to tell him, ” O’ Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to answer you in this matter” (Daniel 3:16). Now that was some boldness and confidence in the Lord to tell the King, “We ain’t scared of you! My God shall deliver us from your hands (Dan. 3:17). After casting them into the furnace, the King looked in the furnace. He said, “I see four in the stove, and the fourth is like the Son of God.” The boldness of these men serves as a testimony; He will never leave nor forsake you (Heb. 13:5). And when they came out of the furnace, they had no smell of smoke on them (Dan. 3:27). Just as the Lord brought them out, He will do the same for you! With no scent of where they were! Again in the Book of Daniel, God showed His power and might when He shut the mouths of the lions saving Daniel. Others on the King’s staff became jealous of Daniel and came up with a plan to go to the King and create a decree for no one to pray to anyone but the King for 30 thirty days, and anyone who violates the mandate shall spend a night in the lion’s den. The King liked the idea and made the decree-law. Because Daniel was a man of excellence, the King set him over a whole realm (Dan. 6). However, Daniel was a noble character. He couldn’t let the decree keep him from praying and making supplication before his Lord.

So consequently, Daniel was cast into the lion’s den, But the Lord God shut the mouths of the lions. Is it that the lions in the den knew the voice of their King? They were hungry but didn’t eat Daniel (Dan. 6:24). In both of these situations with Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abego-Nego, they stood for the Lord, and He rescued them. Psalm 29 closes with The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Where the word of a King is, there is power (Eccl. 8:4). Jesus, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords (Rev. 17:14). This King Jesus loves you! Hear His words and voice that He came for you to have life more abundantly (John 10:10). Receive Jesus as you Lord and King??
