A Helper that will abide with you forever-

John 14:16 

While driving home the other night, the orange barrels of the construction zone once again caught my attention. On the inside of the construction area, I observed a car with its front end deep in a hole. Instantly, I thought, that’s why the barrels are there! While driving a little further, I observed another vehicle in the same condition!

“My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord!

 Isaiah 55:8 

I thought, okay, I know what they might have been thinking, aggravated by the endless construction! I’ll drive through the construction to get to the other side. Oftentimes, getting to the other side isn’t simple; I began to praise the Lord and pray for these people who were having an awful Saturday night! I could see the barrels as a type of Holy Spirit guiding and keeping travelers on this road safe! I began to praise Jesus for how many times I missed Him, yet He protected me!   

I will never leave you nor forsake you! 

Hebrews 13:5

The construction barriers were there for everyone’s safety, but a few decided to operate freely! In the same way, the Holy Spirit is always with the child of God. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, and He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13). The truth is I haven’t always listened, regardless of physical barriers. Still, at some point, in continuous fellowship with the Holy Spirit and abiding in God’s word, our desires should be influenced by Him.

Apostle Paul said it best,

When I was a child, I thought, understood, and spoke like a child, but I put away childish things when I became a man.

1 Corinthians 13:11

Let’s be honest: Desire is the child of our flesh; it seeks momentary satisfaction! The inward witness of the Holy Spirit always knows what is best and what is to come, but He’s a gentleman, so He will prompt or persuade you peacefully in love, never by force. Receive Jesus and grow in love!

The Holy Spirit is Jesus unlimited!

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that Father God raised You from the dead and that You are alive today at the right hand of God. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God, and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with peace and joy!
