The Power of the Name of Jesus

In My name, I am there!

Jesus gave the believer the authority to use His name to cast out demons, speak in other tongues, and take up serpents; if we drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt us and to lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover, Mark 16:16-18. The believer has authority given to him by Jesus, and because it’s not a part of popular preaching, the child of God lives in a victim mentality.

Jesus Has Given Us, The Believers, Victory!

In Jesus’ name, we have authority over all He has authority over. Now, I realize this might seem impossible, and it is from the natural, but Jesus said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth, Matthew 28:18.” Now, Jesus doesn’t lie! And when you couple that scripture with, As He is, so are we in this world, 1 John 4:17. You can’t help but see the greatness God has placed on the believer.

The Believer is God’s Temple!

I don’t mean to be redundant, but how many times have you heard this truth preached to you? Jesus, before and after His resurrection, spoke of our authority as believers in Mark 16:16-18 and Matthew 18:19. I don’t know about you, but I don’t walk in a consciousness of power most of the time; I remind myself based on some challenge or struggle. Nevertheless, God’s best is that we recognize that we are His temple and have His mind, 2 Corinthians 2: 16 and 3:17.

For We are God’s Building

1 Corinthians 3:9

Only by spiritual discernment can we judge all things which come from God. The spirit of man needs to be developed in the things of the Father God, and that comes from constant exposure to His word.

Faith Comes by Hearing and Hearing

Roman 10:17

Sunday service should be a must because, for starters, God’s word says, “forsake not the assemble of ourselves together, Hebrews 10:25.” Also, when we come together, Jesus is in the midst, making this community the church the most successful organization in the universe. Why am I saying this? No other business has the authority and approval of Father God and His Son as our High Priest Christ Jesus at His right hand. Which is far above all principality and power, might and dominion and every name named, not only in this age but also in what is to come, Ephesians 1:20-22.

Think about this for a moment!

You are never out of God’s authority after receiving Jesus as Lord of your life. He said, speaking to believers, “I will be with you always, even unto the end of the world, Matthew 28:20.” Jesus meant what He said! Once you’re God’s, you’re His forever! Now, that doesn’t mean okay! I’m saved so I can sin; I’m not going to hell! But why would you want to? God loves you so much He sent His only Son Jesus to die for our sins; He is the Shepherd of our soul, 1 Peter 2:24-25. Salvation doesn’t exonerate the believer from experiencing the consequences of their wrongdoing.

Beloved,

God wants you to walk in the authority Jesus came and died for.

May the Force of the Holy Spirit be with you!

In Jesus name

Amen
