The Fundamentals of Christianity

Last week’s subject test of faith; in the closing paragraph, I said, a test of faith is only designed to remind you to walk by faith and not by sight, Romans 10:17. There is more to be mentioned on the word only which carries a weight that faith challenges give one lesson, and that’s not true!

Fellowship with God produces Character

The challenge of faith, in part, is to remind you to look to Jesus and walk by faith in Him, but while your faith is being tested, you’ll develop the character of steadfastness, James 1:3-4 EVS. The term steadfastness is defined as firmly fixed in place: Immovable. Not subject to change. That’s God the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8.

Yield to the Way of the Lord

The quality of being stable, secure, and immovable can be cultured in us, beloved when we give room to God. His will, ways, and word must be the priority, and when the faith challenges come, you’ll know God’s will concerning the issue. Understand our comprehension is limited, and we must lean on Him, and He shall direct our paths. We are to trust the Lord not being wise in our eyes, but in fear and reverence of the Lord yielding to His ways of wisdom, Proverbs 3:5-7.

No Waste when you sow into God’s Kingdom

At the beginning of last week’s blog, I also spoke of missing God due to a challenge and prayer being a two-way conversation. I gleaned from the Father’s word some gems that put to rest all my anxieties regarding sowing into the kingdom.

God is a Rewarder

You tithe where you are led! Remember, the church is God’s idea, not men’s! You’re tithing unto God, and when you give, you’re giving unto God; he sees your giving. He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11:6. God’s reward system is far superior to any other organization on the planet, and He doesn’t have a budget. There is no scarcity in God’s kingdom.

God is Generous!

Whatever is done in faith for the kingdom’s expansion is never wasted. Jesus said, “he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.” Faith makes us the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, He is our righteousness, and we receive the reward of the righteous. All that Jesus is, is ours, beloved!

In the presence of Jesus is abundance and increase!

God’s generosity is unwavering regardless of the outcome of a trial or test. Look at Jesus when He fed the multitude. The disciples’ appeared to be discussing providing for the assembly when Jesus said, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” But the disciples felt we don’t have enough to feed so many.

As Jesus is, so are we in this world

1 John 4:17

Jesus lifted God multiplies!

In each of the gospels, Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:10-17, and John 6:1-13, Jesus lifted what He had and trusted God to multiply the bread and fish for the five thousand men, and the women and children. All the gospels speak of more in the end than in the beginning. God blesses what we offer to Him!

Beloved,

May God increase you in wisdom, and may His favor envelope you

wherever you go and whatever you do!

In Jesus name
