The Church is Not Dead or Dying!
One Accord in One Place!
Some weeks ago, I read an article stating, “the church is dying.” I don’t remember the author’s name. What is principal is the church is the body of Christ, which is not dying!
One Place in One Accord!
On the day of Pentecost, they were all in one accord in one place (Acts 2:1); that one place is in Jesus Christ, the church. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit made his presence known by a mighty rushing wind that filled the whole house where they were gathered in one place. Then there appeared to them (the apostles) divided tongues as of fire, and one sat on each of them, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Pillars of life and Church
Acts 2 is the pillar of the church: continuing daily with one accord in the temple, breaking bread (communion), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart. Praising God and having favor with all people and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:46-47). Unless the Lord God stops adding to the church, it shall survive whatever the winds of change man create.
God is not a man that He should lie!
Numbers 23:19
Christ, the Chief Cornerstone
Through Jesus, we have both access by one Spirit to the Father. The household of God has been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets; Jesus Christ Is the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20-22). The cornerstone fitly joins us, the body together. The cornerstone is from God; He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Is there a limit on everlasting? Not with the Lord God.
I am the Lord; I change, not!
Malachi 3:6
God Isn’t a Man Given to Change!
Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. God sending His Son wasn’t in vain He knew to whom He did predestine, them He also called: and whom He called, them He justified, and He also glorified (Romans 8:30).
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8
Christianity is About Relationship
It is man’s idea the church is dying because church attendance is falling off due to the millennial’s refusal to buy into the religious Churchianity. Christianity is about a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, where He came to reveal God as Father; please read John 17.
Jesus Came that We may Know God as Father!
Jesus prayed for us, “O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them and I in them (John 17:25).”
God Establishes Man in Covenant
In closing, I want to point out that the Lord God thinks and sees generations. The Lord told Abraham, “Behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. I will establish my covenant between Me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee (Genesis 17:4-7).
New Covenant Believer We Are Grafted into the Promises of Abraham
If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29). So, the Lord God grows the church daily and grafted the new covenant believers into the promises of Abraham to make thee exceedingly fruitful. Their no fruitfulness in death. Death marks the end, not a continuation. What God gives grows, and He gave the world His Son Jesus, and His mission for the many-membered body will never die!
Beloved,
The Lord God is not like us; He says what He means.
He sent not His Son for the temporary, but for eternity.
Receive Jesus as Lord and see
His prosperity takes place in your life.
