Believer, Father God is Speaking to You!

As Jesus is, so are we in this world, 1 John 4:17, since the bible is a fact, wouldn’t that mean as Jesus is, so are we knowing that as the Father had given all things into Jesus’ hands, whom we are in, He had come from God and He was going to God! God created us, and we, as believers, know who we belong to! As He is, so are we! Suffice it to say, Jesus rose from supper, laid aside His garments, took a towel, and girded Himself. He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and wipe them with the towel with which He was wrapped (John 13:3-11).

STOP!

Can you imagine, with me, for a moment, this act of humility? Jesus, the Son of God, washing some men’s feet? Well, I can’t! The leadership of men don’t wash their subordinates’ feet; this event puts a new spin on leadership. Jesus’ actions weren’t just a physical event. Thus, when Jesus came to Simon, Peter said, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, thou shalt not wash my feet. Jesus answered, ” If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not only my feet but also my hands and head.

Lean not unto thy understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Pay closer attention to Jesus’ words, not his deeds; He said, what I do now, you won’t understand. Suffice it to say, it’s beyond Jesus merely washing their feet! In the Western world, we use boots and shoes, but if we didn’t, we would need to wash our feet several times a day. Well, here’s the parallel! We walk around this world, hearing and seeing things we shouldn’t! And we need the washing of God’s word! Jesus’ answer pointed Peter to a greater understanding; Jesus said, no part with me, not in me! Can we be in Him but not with Him or vice versa? Judas was physically in His presence but didn’t flow with Him! But Jesus, knowing all things, still washed Judas feet. Man’s plan didn’t deter Jesus!

Jesus is the Word!

You’ve got to know who and whose you are to perform a task of this type with humility and confidence! Jesus is always excellent! He tells Peter, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet but is completely clean. The word which is Jesus (John 1:1-2)! Jesus sanctifies and cleanses with the washing of the water by the word (Ephesians 5:25-26)! His words continuously cleanse us as we meditate and listen!

Beloved,

Expose yourself to the Word of God daily

to experience the fullness of His heart because He loves you!

I pray you, dear reader, receive all God’s best!

In Jesus name

🙏🏽Amen🙏🏽
