Stop Complaining, God Loves You!

Believe That!

Last week, I posted, “Stop Complaining, Child of God.” And the more I thought about complaining and how destructive it is for my soul to dwell on things, the more I realized I should trust the safekeeping of the one who loves me immeasurably! In understanding God’s love for man, I can see how complaining came from a lie. 

Script of Ungratefulness!

How often have you heard or said to yourself, “I/You deserve something,” then it turns into, “I have a right to have such and such.” And when you can’t or don’t get it! Complaining starts! All from a mindset of entitlement!

Deception Perception 

It was the devil that lied to Eve in the Garden of Eden. Let’s look at the original fall and the beginning of man’s mindset that gives way to complaining. The serpent said to the woman, Ye shall not surely die. Now that part was actual, the spirit of man will never die! Then, the deception starts. Satan said to the woman for God knows that the day you eat, your eyes will open, and you shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:4-5). 

Wait A Minute!

Didn’t God say, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness?” So, God created man in His image. He created males and females. He created them (Genesis 1:26-27). I read this encounter between Satan and the woman several times, and I question how you can be deceived by Satan when God created you in His image. 

Distractions!

Satan was talking, and the woman was listening and looking: the woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasant to look at and desirable to make one wise (Genesis 3:6). Reading this today, I saw for the first the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). The things that are pleasing to our flesh and eyes distract us and once we’re diverted the pride of life kicks in and pride is the thing that disguises itself as free will. 

Freely Love Him That Loves You!

God didn’t give a man the free will to live independently of Him. But to love Him freely, God honors man (Psalm 8:4-5). But man doesn’t honor the Lord. God gave man abundance, and he became occupied with one tree. The one thing God instructed man not to eat amongst all the garden’s lushness. Today, we have so much to be grateful for, but social media or some other external force would lead one to believe you need something you only want! 

Stop Complaining! Believe Jesus!

The state of complaining is equal to unbelieving. Why? Because doubting, at its core, isn’t trusting God. You question, will He provide for me? But Jesus said, “I have come that you may have life, and have they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). To complain and worry is to believe God won’t provide for you, which is a severe accusation.

The unfaithful and unbelieving share in the consequences with the abominable murderers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8

Now, don’t fear. Faith comes! By hearing and hearing, not by having listened to, but by the continuous hearing of the word of God (Romans 10:17). It is a lifestyle decision to keep listening to the gospel of grace. The grace of God is Jesus Christ. Keep listening to and looking at Him; He came for us to live abundantly in every area of our lives. When you invite Jesus to reign in your heart, you will reign in life (1 Corinthians 4:8).
