Safety In relationships

King Solomon, the wisest and richest man in history; both he received from God. He surrounded himself with priests, scribes/secretaries, friends, and officials(1 King 4). King Solomon didn’t rely on his wisdom alone, at least in the beginning. In 1 King 3, King Solomon entered into treaties where he inherited a wife. But scriptures say he loved God and made a thousand burnt offerings to Him. I would like to know how Solomon did that? Was it a time issue? Or a quantity issue? I would like to see the answer. But it isn’t described in the Bible. However, God was pleased by the heart of Solomon. The Bible says God loved Solomon, 1 King 3:3.

Solomon had to learn these expressions of worship and devotion from his father, David. In 1 King 3:5, God appeared to King Solomon in a dream and asked him, “what shall I give you?” In this dream, King Solomon asked for wisdom to govern His people. I wonder the Lord appearing to Solomon in his sleep, was it a response to the thousand burnt offerings? Or was it to honor His servant King David? Whatever it was, God was pleased by King Solomon’s request for wisdom, that He said in verse 11-15, “Because you asked this thing, and not asked long life for yourself, nor riches or the life of your enemies. But to understanding and to discern justice, behold I have done according to your words. See, I have given you a wise and understanding heart so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. God said I have given what you have not asked for: both riches and honor so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. God told Solomon, if you will walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” Then Solomon awoke from the dream. After this God encounter, Solomon stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings and made a feast for his servants. When God blesses, He blesses over and above our request! When I read about how God blessed Solomon with wisdom and how God loved Solomon, I’ve often wondered why so large a staff? But Jesus didn’t carry out His assignment alone either. Father God never intended for man to do life alone. Our number one relationship needs to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to reveal God as Father, John 17.

Friends act like counsel, as do associates, all giving voice in your thought life. Jesus wants to be at the center, and frankly, you want and need him there. For every associate or friend that call or text you, you permit them to share a thought, or a sentiment, like one of my friends, did yesterday:

LOVE LETTER TO A SISTER

??? ????

A woman was drinking iced tea with her Mother. As they talked about life and adulthood, the Mother said, “Never forget your sisters! They will become essential over time. No matter how much you love your husband or your children, you’re going to need your sisters!”

“Remember when I speak of your “(Sisters)” I mean ALL women who are attached to you.”

“Sometimes you must contact them, perhaps go out with them, do things with them, because someday you will need them!”

The daughter locked those words inside her ?. She kept in touch with her Sisters. Over the years, she made many friends. Some came, some went, but over time she understood what her mother meant.

The World, Time, Nature, and Life present their changes and mysteries in a woman’s life, but your true Sisters always remain.

After all of the years that I have lived on this earth, I have learned that:

* Time goes by.

* Life happens.

* Children grow up.

* Distance separates.

* Passion decreases.

* The heartbreaks.

* Our parents die.

* Favors are forgotten.

*Jobs come and go.

* Careers do end.

BUT………. Your Sisters are always there, no matter the distance between you. A Sister is never too far away to be reached.

When you have to walk through a lonely valley and have to do it for yourself, the Sisters of your life will be around you, encourage you, pray for you, push you,

intervene for you, and wait for you with open arms at the end of the road.

They will walk by your side. Or even carry your load.

Grandmothers, Mothers, Daughters, Grand-daughters, Nieces, Cousins, Aunts, Mothers-in-law, Sisters-in-Law, Daughters-in-law, and Friends.

They are all your “Sisters,” and they are God’s Blessing in life!

???????

Send this on to the “Sisters” who continue to give meaning to your life. I just did!

❤️❤️

Throughout the Bible are examples of the importance of relationships. King Solomon is just one situation where, although God had given him wisdom. He still had priests, secretaries, and friends, 1 Kings 4:4. Proverbs 31 is a chapter devoted to a son from his mother concerning wife selection. Apostle Paul warns the saint at Corinth about being unequally yoked, 2 Corin. 6:14. Then there is the Father that sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life, John 3:16. The ultimate relationship is with Jesus Christ; He is your best friend. He is your redeemer, deliverer, and savior!

God loves you, and Jesus is Lord!
