Rest In Jesus

The Lord Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. He is before all things, and in Him, all things consist, and He is the head of the body, the church, which is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that He may have the first place in all things (Colossian 1:15-18 Derby). For by Him, all things were created. Including the visible and invisible, all systems of authority or dominion were created through Him and for Him.

First Place in All Things

In Him who is first in all things dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and when you, beloved, confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. With the heart, one takes hold by Faith unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made to salvation (Romans 10: 9-10). By Faith, we, beloved, become complete in Him, the head of all principalities and power (Colossian 2:9-10).

Faith Accounts for Righteousness

Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness, and those of Faith are sons of Abraham, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, so those of Faith are blessed with believing Abraham (Galatians 3:7-9,24 and 29).

We are Blessed with Believing Abraham

Beloved, if you are in Christ, you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise. God promised to bless Abraham and, through him, bless all the families of the earth (Genesis 12:3).

Faith in Jesus Justifies

We, beloved, are justified by Faith, for He, God, made Him, Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Our righteousness and reconciliation are based on another, Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians. 5:17-21).

Look to Jesus!

He said, “Come to Me all who labor, and I will give you rest.” When God sent His only begotten Son, whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). He meant for us to look at and hear Him only. When Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let’s make three tabernacles; one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah; while he was speaking, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him! (Luke 9:33-35 and Mark 9:7-9).”

God is Not a Man given to Change

Through the Prophet, Malachi, God told the nation of Israel, “I am the Lord I change not (Malachi 3:6).” The unchanging God said, hear His Son. We need to look to Jesus; He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). By Him, we are justified through faith, and we need not the tutor of the law. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.

Jesus Christ, the Righteous Requirement of the Law

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus had made the believer free from the law of sin and death. Jesus condemned sin in the flesh, so the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us (Romans 8:1-4). For the law could not do what God did by sending His Son, Jesus, in the likeness of sinful flesh, to rescue man trapped in sin.

Free in Christ Jesus!

The law has lost its ascendancy over us, beloved! Jesus met all requirements for the law so that we can embrace no condemnation for us in Christ Jesus.

The Finished Works of Jesus Christ at The Cross is our Starting point beloved

Jesus said, “It Is Finished.”
