Put Complaining Out the Room!

Peter put out the weepers and prayed
Acts 9:40
Sunday, I was in church complaining! Yes, I said in church complaining, then I stopped and began to pray in the spirit. But Father God wasn’t finished with me in this act of unbelief! Yes, complaining is unbelief, and in that state, faith becomes inactivated. Prayer is an act of faith!
Without faith, it is impossible to please God!
Hebrews 11:6
During my devotional time with my Father the following morning, I kept hearing Acts 9. I thought and said why? But the urge didn’t go away, so I submitted to reading it! Although I have read Acts 9 several times, it has several lessons; this time, I was reading as instructed by the Holy Spirit. Reaching verse 40, where Peter put them all out, my attention arrested, and I reread it! He put them out; who are they that he put out? The weepers/mourners before he prayed! Then I saw in a flash praying and complaining can’t co-exist! Although the mourners weren’t complaining, they were cooperating with the spirit of heaviness. Neither of which can expect God’s reward!
For the spirit of heaviness put on the garment of praise!
Isaiah 61:3
The more I pondered this complaining business, the greater my understanding of it grew to the detriment of this practice. Whether the issue is genuine isn’t the question; it’s a matter of trust! Do I trust the Lord? Or do I trust complaining to take me to a place of resolution? This business of murmuring, I realize, is directly tied to unanswered prayers; the Lord gets no glory in my complaining; He is not the author of confusion but peace (1 Corinthians 14:33)!
Give no Room to Complain!
Back to the Disciple Peter for a moment! He put the mourners out of the room before he knelt to pray a prayer that raised the dead! Put the spirit of murmuring and complaining out of your life! So, the seeds of thanksgiving and praise can grow the moral character Daddy God can use to take you to the next level in your walk with Jesus Christ; only He can fix the situation. It’s time to repent of hurting yourself and others with your words of unbelief, confusion, and doubt!
Don’t know Jesus? He is a prayer away!
Invite Him in!
Pray,
Lord Jesus, thank you for loving and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that Father God raised You from the dead and that You are alive today at the right hand of God. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God, and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with peace and joy, having no room for murmuring or complaining!
Amen
