How Can You Lose Your Salvation When It’s Based on the Blood of Jesus?
Contrary to what most churches teach, you can’t lose your salvation. My salvation is locked in the finished works at the cross by the blood of Jesus, not my accomplishments. If it’s based on my doings, it isn’t worth much, but it’s all based on Jesus’ finished works at the cross, and that’s never going to change. Neither is my salvation ever lost; it’s by His blood, not mine, his finished works. My salvation is based on the eternal results of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus Christ did the deeds that set me free!
I must say you can’t escape the consequences of your wayward decisions. Honestly, why would you want to sin against a loving Father? Because that’s who God is! Knowing how much God loves me makes me want to talk about Him to whoever will listen! Love is a modifying quality. Pleasing the Father is what I want to do! I’m afraid I’ll lose his approval. According to scripture, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Listening to Joseph Prince in the morning and throughout the day and reading my Bible gave permanence to the Word of God. A continuity based on the blood of Jesus, just as Jesus cannot unshed his blood. My position in Christ Jesus will not change (that consciousness gave me boldness in approaching the throne of God: Hebrews 4:16). I am in an eternal place of the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 5:21). My full standing with God rests on Jesus Christ. God’s unchanging love for me sits on the finished works of Jesus Christ at the cross, not my vacillating heart or mind. God the Father sees me in Christ, Jesus, and Jesus is perfect. All my spiritual exhaustion and insecurities melt away in that truth!
Grace –
At the onset, I didn’t realize I’d be taking my journey on self-spiritual reflection. So I just finished reading “Journey in Grace,” written by an ex-co-worker, friend, and client. I appreciate how she revealed herself so intensely but, more importantly, how she didn’t use God as a crutch to see her through life circumstances. Instead, she recognized his works as life presented itself to her. “Journey in Grace” is a fitting title for an extraordinary, well-written story. You won’t be disappointed if you are a reader supporting her on godsvoiceisinhisword.com. Please feel free to share. Grace Mills, I am very proud of you, and thanks for sharing.
