LGBTQ+ and Christianity

Love one another!

John 13:35

Recently read an article on Medium about Christianity and the LGBTQ community. The first thing that impacted me was that these are people that God loves, albeit He disagrees with their lifestyles.

All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God.

2 Timothy 3:16

In the Old Testament, God’s people, Israel, took a position against the Lord’s leadership. Similarly, the LGBTQ+ community denies the image of the Lord through their lifestyles. Now Israel experienced mighty wonders by the hand of the Lord but soon forgot the splendor of His magnificence. How can we do better than the one that designed us?            

God Performs Miracles for His People!

The Lord God did everything for Israel, His people! He brought them out of Egypt, a place of bondage, through the man Moses. The Lord lit their dwellings (Exodus 10:23) on the way to freedom, and the Lord opened the Red Sea (Exodus 14), so they could walk on dry land; after the walk through the Red Sea, God rained down manna from heaven (Exodus 16); please see Exodus 9-16 for the entire story.

Trust in the Lord; lean not on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

Do not Look at the Temporary and make Permanent Decisions!  

Nevertheless, Israel demanded of God a king to reign over them; all the elders of Israel gathered and came to Samuel at Ramah and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations (1 Samuel 8:4).” 

Samuel prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them (1 Samuel 8:7). Now God did not love Israel any less because they rejected Him and He warned them the cost of their decision. 

The Cost of Making Decisions Independent of the Lord!

Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who asked him for a king. Furthermore, he said, “This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them for his chariots and be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots; this looks like the draft (For those that can remember). He will take the best of your fields, take a tenth of your grain and give it to his officers and servants, are these taxes paid to politicians? To read the complete story of Israel’s rejection of God’s leadership, see 1 Samuel 8.  

God Created Male and Female 

The LGBTQ community are people God loves, and He gave His Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God created man in His image, both male and female (Genesis 1:26). Is rejecting your gender, rejecting the image of God? Free will allows free choice. Moreover, does the LGBTQIA community need a law to validate what God has already given? 

God gives us Free will to Seek Him Freely!

The Lord God commanded of the man of every tree of the garden, thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eat thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis2:16-17) that last line implies I can eat if I like, but death will happen, and so it did! Adam dies 930 years later (Genesis 5:5).  

Jesus Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:6

A Life Independent of God is Death!

Nevertheless, when you live dependent on Father God, it is a lifestyle of trusting Him. So, you got an urge or temptation to cut your temple in pursuit of what is trending; the Lord’s position is clear on shedding a man’s blood and cutting himself. Man is the image of God (Leviticus 19:28).

“Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood shall be shed by man.

For in the image of God, He made man.”

Genesis 9:5

The term whoever sounds as if the perpetrator and participant are both culpable for shedding man’s blood, and consequently, his blood shall be shed by man, for the act of mutilating man is against the image of God. The medical industry is not greater than the Lord God.

The Lord Knows Your Sitting and Rising!

So, if you want to be with your gender or have a sex change, talk to the Lord God about it. He designed man and knows all about him. Man has no secrets from Him (Psalm 139: 1-3). Moreover, the Father sent the Son to save the world; the price has been paid for the man to come to God (Hebrews 4:16). Remember there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

Live life dependent on Father God!

God so loved that He gave His only begotten Son.

All His counsel and directions are in love.

No research is required. Just look to Jesus.
