Judgment vs. Love
Can’t love and judge at the same time!
As I was driving today, the Spirit of the Lord reminded me, “You can’t judge and love.” Immediately I turned off the CD I was listening to and began to pray. A few days ago, I called one of my siblings a monster—the revelation of a family secret, a situation that didn’t need confidentiality. But the details were kept cryptic. At the same time, the results burned through my family like a forest fire. People act out when they don’t feel they are loved and valued.
The first thing Jesus did when He came was added a divine quality to your life.
See you’re, a spirit having a physical experience.
Jesus said, “You are of great value.”
Matthew 6:26
Secrets are designed to do one thing; destroy relationships, confidence, and the future of all those they touch. There is no life in broken, hidden disclosures. Jesus said, “I come that they might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).” I know whatever thought I have is not concealed from God. The thought of someone I say I love being a monster isn’t excellent nor lovely (Philippians 4:8).
Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 4:23 NIV
Thoughts take root in your heart and the soil of your heart God made for Love. The quality of Love, according to scripture, is ever ready to believe the best of every person. I can’t love my sibling, then turn around, call them a monster, and think of them that way! That’s hypocrisy! God send His sinless Son to save a sinful me? God believes in chances; it is the man that installs expectations.
God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that
the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:17
I know my heavenly Father arrested my thinking because He loves me. He gently said, “You can’t judge and love at the same time” Judgment bears a measure that depends on me (Matthew 7:1-4), and Love bears all, believes all, hopes all, and endures all; it never fails (1 Corinthians 13:7). Love is without limits, Judgment isn’t. The term judgment is defined as an opinion or conclusion. I am not an authority on anything! My perception and decisions about life need to all go to the finished works of Jesus on the cross.
Jesus said, “It is finished,” bowed His head, and gave up His spirit.
John 19:30
Jesus Died for The Unlovely!
The things I was thinking about were condemning as if I could apply a righteous measure in judging. Only Father God can judge people righteously. Sure, scripture says, “The saints will judge the things of the world (1 Corinthians 6:2-3).” But the verse is talking about things, not people. People are too important to God to be judged by their mistakes; remember, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish (John 3:16); you’re walking this earth. You are whosoever! And Jesus died for you!
God Values Souls; Souls Live in People!
Remember the person that offends you or, in my case, kept secrets, eating away at the family? Christ died for them, also! You can view the offender or secret keeper with Love with that consciousness. Hard to imagine, I know! But with God, all things are possible, even loving the unlovely Jesus died for them too; they are God’s inheritance (Ephesians 1:11). Pray for them without ceasing! View everything in the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Beloved,
I pray you see how much God loves His Son, and He sent Him to save you.
May you walk in all that Jesus died for you to possess.
In the Mighty name of Jesus
