Jesus Christ, Our Righteousness!

Proverbs 10

Today as I was reading along with my church Faith Xperience, please download our calendar from the website: https://myfaithx.com. The topic was primarily righteousness. While reading Proverbs 10, my thoughts went to Jesus Christ! Not only is He the author and finisher of our faith, Hebrew 12:2, but He is the believers’ righteousness, 2 Corinthians 5:21. 

Jesus, Our Righteousness delivered Us from Death!

Proverbs 10:2

Every verse of righteousness gives voice to the person of Jesus Christ. He is our righteousness. All that is right is embodied in our lovely Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! 

Righteousness delivers from death. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly, John 10:10.  

Keep your Mind on Jesus Christ!

Proverbs 10:7 

The memory of the righteous is blessed. Read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John to see the many faces of Jesus. 

I will keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee

Isaiah 26:3

Drink From the Well of Jesus’ words! 

Proverbs 10:11 

The mouth of the righteous is a well of life. We drink from the well of Jesus. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matt. 4:4 

 God so Loved that He gave Jesus!  

Proverbs 10:16 

The labor of the righteous leads to life. Jesus prayed, “I have finished the work which You have given Me to do” John 17:4. 

When Jesus Speaks, it’s Father God Speaking!

Proverbs 10:20

The tongue of the righteous is choice silver. Jesus said, “For I have not spoken on My authority, but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, What I should speak” John 12:49.

Jesus Commissioned Man to Feed!

Proverbs 10:21 

The lips of the righteous feed many. Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord: You know I love You.” Jesus said, “Feed My lambs.” A second time, He said to him again, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Tend My sheep.” He said a third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.” John 21:15-17. Not only did Jesus prepare breakfast for the disciples in this story, but He commissioned a man that denied Him three times, Matt. 26:70-75. Jesus didn’t give up on the man that denied His association. He instead delegated him to feed His sheep.          

Jesus Manifested Father God to Us!

Proverbs 10:24 

The desire of the righteous will be granted. Jesus said, “I have manifested Your name to the men You have given Me out of the world” John 17:6. 

Everlasting is the Blood of Jesus!

Proverbs 10:25

The righteous have an everlasting foundation. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation, Col. 1:15.

Our Hope is in The Lord Jesus Christ!

Proverbs 10:28 

The hope of the righteous will be gladness. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, also believe in Me. Many mansions are in my Father’s house; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you to Myself: that where I am there, you may also be.” John 14:1-4.  

Jesus Shall Never be Moved from the Throne!

Proverbs 10:30

 The righteous will never be removed. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord, Phil. 2:10-11. 

Righteousness Lives in you!

Proverbs 10:32 

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable. So, Jesus prayed, “I have declared to them Your name (Father) and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me be in them and I in them.” John 17:26. As Jesus is, so are we in this world, 1 John 4:17.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, 2 Corinthians 5:21
