Jesus Blesses The Little!
Jesus said unto them, they need not depart; give them to eat. 17 And they say unto him, we have five loaves and two fishes here. 18 He said, Bring them hither to me. 19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20 And they all ate and were filled.

Looking up to heaven, Jesus blessed, and brake!
What little we have, the Lord Jesus will bless! In the above scripture, Jesus took the little and fed a multitude. Jesus looked to heaven with the little, blessed, and broke! I thought how little I am in the grand scheme of eternity. Think about this a second moment: a person with 6000 years (God) of legacy caring about someone like me. Then I remembered the woman with the oil that multiplied by pouring.
No Distressing is Bigger Than God’s Provision!
In the Old Testament, there is a short story about a certain woman who cried out to Elisha in 2 Kings 4:2-7. Now, this woman had a debt, and during those days’ creditors could collect by enslaving the debtor’s family, which in this case were her two sons. Elisha, being the prophet of the Lord, asked her what you have in your house. This woman was stressing her husband was dead, and he owed someone, and they were going to come and take her sons to pay the obligation of their father, the deceased husband.
The Widow Becomes an Entrepreneur!
The story of the widow and her sons has many lessons, but today, I saw how faith in the Lord brings increase. The woman believed that the man of God could do something for her, and he did; he pointed to what she already had. After asking her what she had, he told her to borrow many empty vessels, go into your house, shut the door behind you and your sons, and then pour the oil into the jars to complete and set them aside. There came a time when they ran out of containers, and then the man of God told them, “Go sell the oil and pay your debt, and live off the rest.”
The Little You Give to Him, He Will Increase!
Notice that her obedience to the process brought resolution to her challenge! The little become more than enough! Take the time today to put the things of the Father first, ask Him for His direction, and He will multiply your days, for by Him our days shall be multiplied, and the years of our life shall be increased, Proverbs 9:11.
Beloved,
Give God this day, and He will increase your days with rich gifts and happiness!
