The first thought I had this morning! No, the first thought God gave me this morning. After my daily confession,” I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus,” the thought the Holy Spirit convicts me of righteousness spoke clearly to me! The reality that Jesus is always standing in the gap for me and loves me; however, I behave! My position with God rests on the blood of Jesus. He, God, made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us (me) that we (I) might become the righteousness of God in Him, Christ Jesus (2 Corin. 5:21). When I read the Bible, I personalize it. It’s my Father’s word and promises to me. Besides, how much more intimate can the act of sacrificing Himself for me be? For God so loved (me) the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). How epic the creator of the universe loved me so much.

Love that modifying quality poured in the heart of the believer by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5) when the Spirit of truth has come. He will guide you into all truth: He will not speak on His authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come (John 16:13). The Spirit of truth wants me to rely on Him! This intimate relationship with Father God isn’t a religion. Religion is customs and traditions with synthetic philosophies never delivering man to a position of righteousness. Only Christianity restores man by faith in Jesus Christ to a stable place of right standing with God. This walk with God isn’t a 12 step program. It’s not a self-help program. You can’t fix yourself! Only the one that made you can set you right. He knows all about you and loves you anyway! He doesn’t condemn you (Roman 8:1), and He sent His word and healed and rescued the believer from destruction (Psalm 107:20). This gift of righteousness is for us to reign in life through the one Jesus Christ ( Romans 5:17). The gifts and callings of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). Since righteousness is a gift, it is irrecoverable. Unchangeable is our position with God in Christ, Jesus! He loves you, and that’s never going to change!
