Grand Turk Lighthouse Experience
Jesus the Light of the World!

Lookout Point
Lookout Point is named in honor of British Admiral Horatio Nelson, who fought for Grand Turk liberation from the French occupation in March 1783. As I looked at the lighthouse and the Atlantic Ocean, I thought of Jesus; He is a light vessel for the believer.
Jesus said,
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.
John 8:12
Lighthouse a Beacon of Safety
The lighthouse on Grand Turk serves as a beacon to oncoming ships that peril is imminent. The danger! Shallow reefs are underwater structures built by tiny sea animals, beautiful but deadly for oncoming vessels. During the colonial days, hundreds of shipwrecks occurred off the northern shores of Grand Turk.
Man Makes a Savior for His Self!
The lighthouse was built at the insistence of shippers and the American government. The Grand Turk Lighthouse was constructed in London in 1852 and shipped to Grand Turk, where it was assembled to save salt trading, a central source of the Grand Turks’ economy.
Jesus is a Lighthouse!
This historic lighthouse on Grand Turk is a structure that’s symbolic of how Jesus Christ warns and guides us to a path of safety and harmony. It’s never the big stuff that causes destruction or deterioration, for example, when we must have the last word accompanied by the inability to listen and to put those, we love first in anything or for any reason. The tiny creatures in our shallow reefs are the systems we allow to develop that satisfies ourselves but, don’t glorify God.
Listen to God’s Light, Jesus!
Father God send His only begotten Son, Jesus, to save the world from their sins so that those who believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. And He, Jesus is who He said to listen to on a high mountain; God said, “Hear Him (Luke 9:35).”
Beloved,
Hear the lighthouse, God sent! Jesus!
