God’s Waiting room
The space and time between reaching your divine destiny and being cultivated for that position is God’s waiting room. There are chairs and distraction devices like most waiting areas—your cellphone, magazines, books, and sometimes television screens. In God’s waiting room, it’s the same. So, what do you do while you’re waiting? First, sit down and rest from all your work as God did from His, Heb. 4: 10. Secondly, be patient with God, others, and yourself because life doesn’t stop issuing experiences while you’re in the waiting room. You’re on God’s timing!
Patience is essential in the waiting room!
Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing, James 1:4. The waiting room can feel like a trial because you’re there, and nothing seems to be happening. But God is working. Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Rome, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. Endurance develops the maturity of character. And character produces joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation Rom. 5:3-4 AMP. That brings you to some other critical keys while you’re in the waiting room. You’re on God’s timing!
Praise and Meditation!
Praise God for His many blessings. David said I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth, Psalm 34:1. David was a man that was familiar with waiting. The Prophet Samuel anointed him to be king, but it was many years before he operated in that position. He walked in that position in God’s timing. Meditate on God’s word day and night Joshua 1:8. Again the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Philippi finally brethren whatever things are right, noble, just, pure, lovely or of a good report if there is any virtue and anything praiseworthy-meditate/think on these things, Phil. 4:8. Pray: knowing that whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing ye shall receive, Matt 21:22. Pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you, 1 Thess. 5:16. You’re on God’s timing!
Communion
Last but not least is partaking of the Lord’s body that God gave for us. On the same night in which He was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took bread and gave thanks. He broke it and said, “Take eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner, He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes, 1 Corin. 11:26.
My friend once said to me; you can’t take communion without a priest. I asked her, is our High Priest Jesus Christ? She stared at me as if she never heard that before. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession, Heb. 4:14. So, while you’re in the waiting room, remember you’re not alone, for God has said I will never leave nor forsake you, Heb. 13:5. Receive communion from your High Priest-Jesus Christ. Enjoy your time in the waiting room. You won’t go out the same way you came in. Jesus loves you. You’re on God’s timing!
