God’s Gifts are Sure!
God doesn’t take back His gifts or disown His people!
Romans 11:29 CEV
God’s word is alive, and because it’s alive, you never reach a point of hearing it all. As I was reading, not meditating on God’s word, Isaiah 54:17, No weapon formed against you shall prosper (deep within me, I heard not even you, I perceive He was speaking of myself?) and every tongue which rises against you in judgement You shall condemn. The capital Y in this second part caught my attention because capital letters in scripture often refer to the Lord God. I thought, is this to say He will condemn? I paused! When thinking about who the Lord God was addressing, it was the children of Israel in this passage of scripture, but the church can benefit from His firm affirmation of love and protection for Israel.
I am the Lord God, and I change not.
Malachi 3:6
God is Unchanging!
God is who He is! Unlike us, He isn’t different for different people. He loves us all the same! And the last part of Isaiah 54:17 speaks of an inheritance. This is the heritage of the servant of the Lord (to know that no weapon that is formed shall prosper, oh yes, things will be formed, but God has a plan for all of Satan’s attack before they formed), and their righteousness is of Me, Says the Lord, (Isaiah 54:17).
Our Righteousness
The church’s righteousness is Jesus Christ! In Jesus, we become a new creation, and in Him, we are righteous (2 Corinthians 5:17, 21). The more I thought about not even you, the more I felt that was incorrect! But God’s word is clear: the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). That term irrevocable isn’t used these days mainly because we see change as a way of life. God isn’t like us; He means what He says and says what He means!
God Gives with No Returns
It is God that says, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. God’s no is unconditional! God is bigger than the circumstances we create in our lives; his salvation is irrevocable. Our salvation is a gift, and God has said His gifts and callings are without repentance. That’s right, you can’t lose your salvation. It’s based on the word of God and the blood of Jesus.
Think about that for a moment!
God’s word is Sure!
God said to Isaiah, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). And did He not say, through the Apostle Paul the gifts His callings of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). And that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). And did not God also say through the Apostle Paul to the church in Rome. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10 KJV).
Can’t Sin away your Salvation!
I’m saying all this to say you can’t sin your salvation away. It’s a gift from God! Your sins are not greater than God’s; otherwise, Jesus Christ would have never come. This revelation is not to say hooray, you can sin! But why would you want to sin against a loving parent? Because that’s who Father God is our loving parent!
Beloved,
Father God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. He sent His Son for you to not perish but have life everlasting.
Invite the Lord Jesus into your heart, and He will show you a new one that doesn’t lead to the road of sin and death.
Heavenly Father,
I believe that Your Son Jesus died for my sins, and You rose Him from the dead for my sins, and I thank You that by His blood I am cleansed.
Amen
