The thing that qualifies you for the title is to be called. You may be wondering, so, how am I called? God has called you into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, 1 Corinthians 1:9. You may be wondering why? Because He loves you!

God so loved that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16.

You Qualify as a Whosoever!

If you are a person walking on this earth, you qualify! You are a gift from God! But there are no mistakes or untimely birth about all things working together for your good for Father God. Each of us is formed fearfully and wonderfully and is the fruit of the womb and a reward from the Lord, Psalm 139:13-14 and 127:3-4.

Purchased By the Blood of Jesus

Now that you qualify understand a price has been paid for you to have fellowship with the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ. The price! The blood of Jesus Christ! Fellowship has privileges, benefits, and rewards. For example, in the Old Testament, a man named Joseph exemplifies how God will cause all things to work together for your good. Although, many parts of his journey would cause some to faint.

Joseph the Dreamer

Joseph was about 17 years old when God gave him a couple of dreams. He and his brothers were binding sheaves in the field in one dream. Joseph sheaf arose and stood upright, and his brother’s sheaves bowed down to his sheaves. In the other dream, he dreamt the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed down to him; it wasn’t a coincidence the number of stars was the same as his brothers!

You Can’t Share God’s Dreams with Everyone!

Joseph’s brothers grew to resent their brother over time, referring to him as a “dreamer“! This sounds like a sad end to a promising future, but God! Makes all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28. Through Joseph, God shall save the nation of Israel! His brothers strip him of his clothes and sell him into slavery.

The Lord Was with Joseph

God made all that Joseph did to prosper, Genesis 39:2-3. Joseph must’ve possessed a presence for it to be seen by his boss, a picture of God’s favor impregnating his being. In Genesis 39, it is repeatedly said, “the Lord was with him.”

Favor Lands Joseph in Prison

Joseph was handsome and got noticed by the boss’s wife. She made her intentions known to Joseph. He told her “NO” and explained this was wickedness and that he could not sin against God. Okay, things seem to be getting worse for Joseph! Joseph ends up in jail because he wouldn’t sleep with his master’s wife.

Still, The Lord was with Joseph!

Joseph spends time in jail for a crime he didn’t commit, but remember, the Lord was with him still. While in prison, he interprets the dreams of the butler and baker and asks the butler to remember him, but he still stays in jail for a few more years—another reason for Joseph to become bitter. I can only imagine if Joseph had gotten distracted by bitterness, he would not have been able to interpret the butler’s dream.

Here’s a thought we all become toxic/ bitter people without Jesus!

A Dream Brought Joseph to Egypt, and a Dream Rose him from the Dungeon!

Pharoah had a dream, Genesis 41. Then the butler remembered Joseph. Pharaoh sends for Joseph. God had been preparing Joseph for this moment all his life. Pharoah said to Joseph, so I’ve been told you interpret dreams. I like the way Joseph answered him. He said, “It is not in me: God will give Pharoah an answer of peace, Genesis 41:16.

Joseph Interprets Pharoah’s Dream

In the dream, God revealed that seven years of plenty would be followed by seven years of famine and drought about to enter the land. But with the interpretation, God gave Joseph wisdom and instructions, appointing officers over the land to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land in the years of plenty. Pharoah asked his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” God took Joseph from the Dungeon to second in charge. He promotes Joseph into the position of viceroy of Egypt, Genesis 41:17-41. For more of this fascinating story, read Genesis 41.

Beloved,

God loves you and wants to give you the desires of your heart.

Just as He brought Joseph through, He wants to do the same for you.

May you be promoted into a position designed for

you by Father God.
