Set your heart to listen!

Matthew 11:15

Today, as I listen to a daily devotional, I am reminded that Father God is always talking, just as He spoke at the baptism of Jesus Christ at the Jordan River. The fantastic thing about being in a relationship with Father God is that he knows all about me but loves me anyway! Messages of God’s grace coincide because they are on one accord. Although it may seem they are preaching the same thing for different reasons, God’s voice comes through His word being preached.

Cultivating a lifestyle of fellowship leads to Praise!

Listening to a devotional allowed the Holy Spirit to call to my remembrance Psalm 101. As I stopped and read Psalm 101, I will sing of mercy and justice; to You, O Lord, I will sing praises. Sing praises is what we do, knowing Daddy God has heard our petitions. Verse two says, “I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me?”

Praising reminds the believer of their Position in Him!

I stopped and praised the Lord God. David was under the old covenant, and I am under the new covenant. This new covenant, Father God, is always with me (Hebrews 13:5); in verse two, David says I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. Under the new covenant (Matthew 5:48), Jesus said; therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect as I read Psalm 101, the Holy Spirit reminded me of my priceless position in Christ Jesus and all the things in the Old Testament aren’t my standard. I have a new rule (a new state of grace), a new covenant based on better promises.

Remind Yourself that you are Never Alone!

Yet again, Father Gods confirm me with verse five: whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one with a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure. The lies spoken about me in secrecy by those who don’t know Father God He shall correct; that’s His job, not mine. Yes, I embrace that there is more with me than with them (2 Kings 6:16). Father God is always with His beloved; that’s you and me, dear!

Start the year off under a new Lordship!

Jesus Christ

Don’t know Jesus? He is a prayer away!

Pray,

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that Father God raised You from the dead and that You are alive today at the right hand of God. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God, and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with peace and joy!

Amen

Jesus Will Never Leave You!
