We Who Believe Enter into Rest!

Hebrews 4:3

Father God has equipped us with His word to navigate every challenge we face, regardless of the circumstances! Whether a contract with a service provider or a personal struggle, the Lord Jesus Christ desires to be involved in every aspect of our lives. It is through faith in Him that we can overcome these challenges.

God gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Jesus should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Faith isn’t mental assenting. Based on your perspective, mental assenting is your relationship with your mind and how it processes your life around you. Faith is also a relationship of trusting God to provide for us. Faith is resting in the finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross. Whatever we could ask Father God for is less than He has already provided!

Rest versus Mental Assenting!

In the context of faith, rest is not a state of inactivity but a belief in the good news of Jesus Christ. It is a state of peace and trust in His provision, where we can find solace and rejuvenation.

Mental assenting is acknowledging and agreeing but relies on seeing things in your understanding. It can’t give you rest and peace because our awareness is constantly changing, but faith is a resting place in the unchanging promises of God!

Rest is not inactivity but Spirit-directed activity!

Pastor Joseph Prince

Challenges bring you to what you truly believe! But know this, child of God: Father God is not just a provider but omnipresent and omnipotent! He is all-knowing and all-powerful and cares about you! Just like the Prophet Elijah, when Jezebel threatened to kill him, God directed and tended to him under a broom tree (1 Kings 19). The Holy Spirit’s activity for Elijah was rest.

Whatever prayers you bring to the Father, in Jesus’ name, He hears you, and that petition is answered (John 13:13-14). Remember, Jesus is at the right hand of God (Ephesians 1:20). We are in Him (1 John 4:17). We have no pains He is not familiar with (Isaiah 53:2-5), Jesus is a man and 100% God; you can’t commit that though to your mind for understanding, we are not more intelligent than the One that made us. Remember, we cannot ask for anything more significant than He has already given, Jesus!

Beloved,

Ask, believe, rest, and receive from Father God!

For He so loves you! His love for you is immeasurable and unconditional, and He cares for every aspect of your life.

Don’t know Jesus?

Pray,

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that Father God raised You from the dead and that You are alive today at the right hand of God. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God, and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life and filling my heart with peace and joy!

Amen
