Faith Bank
Daily Deposits Determines its Strength!
Faith is an account; it requires daily deposits to increase its quality and strength. Like any other account, you can only withdraw what has been deposited. This way, it is more like a seed time and harvest reservoir. But we have an author and finisher of our Faith. It is Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:2).
Jesus said,
My blood of the new covenant is shed for the many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:28
How can it be that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the believer’s Faith? The believer owes everything to Jesus Christ! He is the writer and completer of the substance of what we are to hope for; why? Because He is the new covenant, without Him, Christianity nor the church would exist. Consequently, the New Testament and the believer’s life hangs on Jesus Christ.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for
Hebrews 11:1
Trust is Faith in Jesus Christ, and all that Father God says He is for you. All sides of Jesus show us who He is, and that is where we shall place our Faith:
~ The Book of Matthew opens with His genealogy from Abraham to Mary and Joseph, who was born Jesus Christ. Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah (born King).
~ In The Book of Mark, the son of God is a tireless servant (face of an ox). His genealogy isn’t discussed, only His action immediately. Jesus moved with the power of the Lord to heal (Luke 5:17).
~The Book of Luke opens with the Holy Spirit blessing his family (face of a man). His mother’s cousin Elizabeth is pregnant in her old age. Zacharias’ husband, Elizabeth, and father of John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, “the child will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways to give knowledge of salvation to His people (Luke 1:76). The same angel that foretold of Elizabeth pregnancy also told Mary a virgin, yet to betroth that she was going to have a child (Luke 1:19 and 26-28), neither of these situations was favorable by societal standards. The Son of God is born as a Man (Luke 1:34-35).
~The Book of John opens with Jesus’ divine genealogy. He is the Son of God (face of an eagle), the light of men, and the world was made through Him, but the world didn’t know Him. For as many as receive Him, to them, He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of the will of God (John 1:4, 10-13).
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
God Doesn’t Need Our Help to Carry Our His Purpose!
In the Book of Matthew, Jesus is protected by Father God; he didn’t need any man to aid Him in keeping His young Son safe until He was to represent us at the cross. Jesus being born King was an issue for King Herod, so God sent an angel to Joseph in a dream saying, “Take the young Child and His mother and flee to Egypt and stay there until I bring you the word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy Him (Matthew 2:1-14).
As God Protected Jesus, so, Will He Protect you?
In the Book of Luke, when Jesus spoke the truth in the synagogue, and the attendees became angry with Jesus and rose to throw Him over a cliff, God caused Him to pass through the midst of them, and He went his way (Luke 4:18-31). Again, Father God doesn’t need your help protecting you; trust Him!
Jesus Dwelled in the Secret Place of the Most High!
In the Book of John, when Jesus spoke to some Jews, telling them, ” Before Abraham was I am.” they took up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid and went out of the temple (John 8:57-59). Another example of how Father God can and will protect His own. Remember, He gave Him up for us, so we should not perish!
Beloved,
Faith has a principle of how it is acquired by hearing and hearing the word
of God, Romans 10:17. You would take nothing away from this truth by saying,
by seeing more and more of Jesus Christ, you will see Father God’s heart for you.
The more you look at Jesus, the more you shall become like Him.
Thereby living in the overflow of your most excellent measure of Faith in Him.
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
